Sejak diperkenalkan di awal tahun 1990, konsep Behavior Based Safety (BBS) semakin banyak diaplikasikan di berbagai perusahaan. Konsep ini berdasarkan penelitian yang menyimpulkan bahwa faktor dominan penyebab kecelakaan adalah unsur manusia. Karena itu pendekatan pencegahan kecelakaan harus menempatkan aspek manusia sebagai unsur sentral melalui pendekatan behavior safety.

Seminar Office Ergonomics

There are two kinds of hazards in the office; they are Ergonomics hazard and Safety hazard. Work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSD) are the most commonly occurring hazards in modern offices. These injuries result from poorly designed workstations, and inadequate job design.
Ergonomics deals with the compatibility between workers and their work. Poor ergonomic conditions exist when the “work” is incompatible with the workers’ bodies and their ability to continue working.
OBJECTIVES of OFFICE ERGONOMICS SEMINAR
The specific objectives of this Office Ergonomics Seminar were to enable you to:
• Develop an understanding of the basic elements of office ergonomics;
• Identify tasks that can potentially cause work-related musculoskeletal disorders (WMSD) and other injuries to the muscles and joints;
• Develop an ergonomics program and set goals for your workplace; and
• Focus on problem solving through employee and management involvement.
Seminar Protecting Workers in Health Care Facilities

Health care facilities present workers with a myriad of potential health and safety hazards. Compared with the total civilian workforce, hospital workers have a greater percentage of suffering from sprains and strains, infectious and parasitic diseases, dermatitis, hepatitis, mental disorders, eye diseases, influenza, and toxic hepatitis. Although much of the information here was obtained from studies conducted in hospitals, it can also be applied to health care workers in other settings, including outpatient clinics, nursing homes, acute care centers, physicians’ and dentists’ office, blood banks, and private residences.
OBJECTIVES
The specific objectives of this course were enable you to :
o Understand factors that influence the health and safety in the health care facilities.
o Prevent the health care workers from accidents and Occupational Illness;
o Understand to implement Occupational Health Management Programme in the health care facilities;
o Understand how to avoid nosocomial infection (“hospital acquired infection”) in the health care facilities;
o Identify methods to decrease medical errors (patient safety);
o Promote education and training for health care workers to improve workplace health.
